Director / Mike Forshaw
Producer / Jacob Penketh
Director of Photography / Stephen Roe
Sound Recordist / Adam Davies
Production Assistant / Ruby Davis
Dementia isn't just a diagnosis; for countless people worldwide it's a daily battle.
While the race for a cure is crucial, these films show Dementia UK and their Admiral nurses on the frontline - navigating the pain, the loss, the warmth, the enduring love, the everything that encompasses a life of living with dementia.
Capturing the essence of these intensely human stories demanded a delicate balance of flexibility and respect, prioritising our participants' dignity over everything. Using high frame rates, we extended fleeting moments - revealing the beauty in the smallest details, from flickers of frustration to sparks of recognition - all the time allowing space for unique individual experiences to shape each narrative.
Released during World Alzheimer’s Month, the films exceeded all expectations, engaging audiences on a meaningful level and amplifying awareness of the vital work Dementia UK does. Beyond the output, the true measure of success came in the reaction of our participating families, expressing gratitude that their experiences had been depicted in such an honest but dignified manner.

With tech entrepreneurs prioritising profit over people and social engagement over safety, being online means being on-guard. It’s especially treacherous for children - with slippery slopes, suspicious characters and unintended consequences. Thus, the NSPCC tirelessly fighting for greater online protection.
Bringing the internet into reality isn’t easy - especially when you’re not working with a blockbuster budget. Using simple graphics and sound design, coupled with first-rate performances from our talented young cast, audiences get an insight into how it feels to navigate online life as a child.
Originally produced in 2020, we updated the film in 2022, featuring newly shot scenes and versions redesigned for better engagement across social media. The film has been awarded Gold and Silver Telly awards in Cause Marketing and Public Interest.
Impetus / Hidden Opportunity

The right start in life can boil down to a simple question of opportunity - it can be the difference between graduating with top grades and getting left behind. Impetus strives to provide young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with opportunities to help realise their potential.
For our second project with the charity, we focussed on creating a truly collaborative process for our lead contributors. We worked closely with both Elliot and Paige to ensure their experiences and ambitions were showcased faithfully.
First screened at the Natural History Museum, the film helped raise £1.3 million, smashing past Impetus’ fundraising target. It is now used as a key marketing asset by Impetus and the partner charities (Football Beyond Borders and The MAMA Youth Project).

The film was presented at Impetus’ flagship fundraising event, the gala ‘Transforming Lives Dinner’, inspiring an impressive response from donors. The film has since been shared by Impetus’ many charity partners to further drive awareness.
Girlguiding / Volunteer With Us
Client / Girlguiding
Director / Phoebe Brooks
Producer / Jenny Garrett
Director of Photography / Charles Mori
Editor / Ben Harding
Creative Director / Guy Saville
During the pandemic, the number of Girlguiding volunteers fell dramatically. When things opened up, the demand from girls was high, but there was still a severe shortage of volunteers.
Our campaign to address this focused on the emotional rewards of volunteering, the small moments that kept people coming back week after week. We cast real volunteers and girls, and used games and improvisation to help our contributors deliver natural performances.
The success of the campaign was in large part thanks to our use of target demographic insights. Our suite of social-optimised, bite-sized films allowed us to effectively engage with Girlguiding’s existing audience, as well as converting new volunteer sign-ups.

Christmas means so many different things to different people - for some it’s all merriment and mince pies, for others it’s a moment of self-reflective crisis. For the Samaritans it’s when they do some of their most important, transformative work.
With an intensely personal story to tell, we prioritised our contributor Stephanie’s comfort and confidence on set. This underpinned every decision - from filming in her home to having minimal crew - ensuring she felt in a safe space to share.
This film was made for Samaritans’ Christmas Star campaign, encouraging sign up for a cause that provides a literal lifeline to people like Stephanie when they have nobody else to turn to.
NSPCC / Here For Children
Client / NSPCC
Director / Phoebe Brooks
Producer / Jenny Garrett
Director of Photography / Joe Gainsborough
Creative Director / Thom Wood
Editor & Colourist / Jon Beagley
Children are life’s great adaptors. They show remarkable resilience in the face of adversity, despite having so little control over their environments, and the NSPCC has always embraced this in the way they offer their unending support.
To do justice to this key message, we wanted our film to bring the viewer into a child-centric perspective. We kept the cinematography loose, kinetic and unstaged, which gave our cast of young actors the space to improvise, helping them to relax and act naturally.
The film spearheaded the NSPCC’s ‘Here for Children’ campaign across TV and social channels. It primed target audiences for their Winter fundraising campaign and garnered 100,000s views, increasing brand awareness.

As the UK settles in for another chilly Christmas, with schools, shops and neighbours’ doors shutting, where can vulnerable children turn for help when they need it? Abuse and neglect don't take Christmas off, so neither does Childline.
Shooting at night on the bitterly cold streets of East London, the NSPCC needed a production partner who could get emotive performances while prioritising the comfort and health of a very young cast.
Shared widely across the charity's social platforms, the film served a dual purpose in the weeks before Christmas 2019, generating support for the charity while directly raising awareness about Childline availabilty with youth audiences.
