Our privacy policy
Last updated: 9 June 2026
Nowadays ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, the legal bases we rely on, and the rights you have. It applies to visitors to nowadays.tv, our clients, suppliers, job applicants, and anyone else whose personal data we handle.
Nowadays is part of the Auspicious Group. We may share personal data within the group where there is a legitimate business reason to do so (see "Who we share your information with").

Company: 3Angrymen Productions Limited (company number 07507006), Building 1000, Cambridge Research Park, Waterbeach, Cambridge, England, CB25 9PD
Data protection contact: central@thisisauspicious.com
The information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Contact and identity details — name, job title, email address, phone number, postal address, and company name (for example, when you complete a contact or enquiry form, or correspond with us).
Account and profile data — username and password where you use our systems, and profile images where provided.
Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, system access logs, and cookie identifiers when you visit our website or applications.
Recruitment data — information in job applications and CVs, including data received via recruitment agencies and awarding bodies.
Image data — profile images you provide, and CCTV images if you visit our offices.
We do not routinely collect special category data (such as health or ethnicity). Where we need to, we will tell you and rely on an appropriate additional condition.
How we collect it
Most personal data is provided directly by you — for example, when you use our website, complete a form, correspond with us, or apply for a role. We also receive some data indirectly, such as from recruitment agencies or awarding bodies in connection with recruitment.
How and why we use it (purposes and legal bases)
We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis under UK GDPR. The bases we rely on are:
Consent — for example, optional marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Contract — to deliver our services, manage accounts, and fulfil our obligations to clients and suppliers.
Legal obligation — for example, tax, accounting, and employment-law requirements.
Vital interests — in rare emergencies where someone's life or health is at risk.
Legitimate interests — for example, responding to enquiries, securing our systems and applications (including access logs), business administration, sharing within the Auspicious Group, and marketing to existing clients about similar services. Where we rely on legitimate interests we have balanced our interests against your rights, and you can object at any time.
The DUAA 2025 also introduces "Recognised Legitimate Interests" for specific purposes such as crime prevention, emergency response, and safeguarding. We will rely on these only where they apply.
Who we share your information with
We share personal data with carefully selected third-party processors who act on our instructions, and within the Auspicious Group. Our key processors include:
AWS — hosting and infrastructure for our systems and applications.
Cloudflare, Pipedrive — CDN, security (WAF, DDoS protection), and SSL.
Microsoft 365, Hubspot, Airtable — productivity, storage, and communications.
e.g. monday.com — work management and workflow.
Securescreeningservices - HR
Green and Purple - HR
Brightpay - HR
We require all processors to protect personal data and to use it only as instructed. We may also disclose personal data where required by law.
International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK (for example, to a group company or a processor), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as a UK adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Standard Contractual Clauses, in line with the DUAA 2025 transfer framework. We do not rely on the EU-US Privacy Shield, which no longer exists.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, in line with our retention schedule and any contractual or legal requirements. For online enquiry and recruitment correspondence we retain personal data for up to [12] months unless a longer period is required (for example, to resolve disputes or meet legal obligations).
How we protect it
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and regular review of our security practices. Our cloud providers operate to recognised security standards including ISO 27001 and ISO 27002.
Your data protection rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
be informed about how we use your data (this notice); access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate or incomplete data; erase your data in certain circumstances; restrict our processing in certain circumstances; object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time; data portability in certain circumstances.
There is no charge for exercising your rights, and we will normally respond within one month. Under the DUAA 2025, this period may pause while we verify your identity or seek clarification, and may be extended for complex requests. To exercise any right, contact us at central@thisisauspicious.com.
Your right to complain about how we handle your data
If you have any concerns about how we collect, use, or protect your personal information, you can raise a complaint with us directly. We would encourage you to contact us first so we have the opportunity to put things right.
How to complain: Email us at central@thisisauspicious.com with the heading "Data protection complaint." Please include your name, your contact details, a description of your concern, and what you would like us to do. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we investigate.
What happens next:
We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receiving it and tell you how we will handle it.
We will investigate without undue delay, may ask you for further information, and will keep you updated on our progress.
When our investigation is complete, we will give you a clear, plain-language outcome explaining our decision and any steps we have taken.
If you are still unhappy: You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at any time — www.ico.org.uk, phone 0303 123 1113, or post to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF. Our services are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where we provide any service likely to be accessed by children, we will apply additional protections in line with the DUAA 2025 and the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code.
