Modern Slavery Statement
At Nowadays, we’re committed to ethical, transparent working practices, not just in our own business, but across the people and partners we work with.
Modern slavery can take many forms: forced labour, human trafficking, exploitative working conditions. We recognise that, while the risk in a creative company like ours is relatively low, no industry is immune and we don’t take that lightly.
We work with a trusted network of freelancers and suppliers, mostly within the UK. For larger or international shoots, we apply extra care when selecting partners, especially in higher-risk areas of production. If concerns were ever raised about modern slavery in our supply chain, we would act immediately and decisively.
We are not legally required to publish a modern slavery statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, but we believe in taking responsibility anyway. This means:
Choosing partners who treat people fairly and legally
Keeping an eye on risk, especially when working internationally or at scale
Being ready to act if any form of exploitation is identified
Staying informed — and keeping the conversation open
